Join us for a trip up the historic Athabasca River,
winding our way up the route followed by the early traders. You will
see the shifting sands and steep, massive banks formed by the river's constant
flow. Keep your eyes open for wildlife: white-tailed deer inhabit
the river banks and of course the mighty moose occupy the wetland areas
along the rivers edge.
We will cruise over the tumultuous Grand Rapids and see the island
where a railway once carried goods and furs past this un-navigable stretch
of river.
We will then disembark to enjoy a fabulous picnic lunch. You
will be wined & dined in helicopter style with a picnic basket full
of scruptuous treats, filled in the kitchen of the popular Sawridge Hotel.
